Review of 13 Assassins (2010) by Norris S — 20 Jan 2012

Not much on story and some mildly disturbing scenes. In spite of this it's still a great film thanks to strong acting and spot on direction. This is a pure samurai film in that it's not so much about the characters as their mission and how they go about it.

Tight pacing after a somewhat slow start, keeps the action rolling (along with some heads). Overall, a worthy addition to the library. I'll be busting out the popcorn for this one again,.
