Review of 13 Assassins (2010) by Alex D — 29 Jan 2012
At a little over two hours it feels like it breezes by in a flurry of brutality that someone only of Miike's mind could muster up. Easily Miike's best film to date, as it feels that he is maturing into an even more talented director, this being his next step.
The best action movie of the year, one that combines a wide variety of characters each with their own motives and a final fighting scene to end all fighting scenes.
