Review of 13 Assassins (2010) by Raphael G — 20 Jul 2012
Tense from the start, with a great soundtrack, sound editing, costumes, and most importantly a great story, this is easily one of the best modern samurai films, and already one of my favorites.. It may be a little confusing at first, for people who are not familiar with Japanese history.
UPDATE: I watched the director's cut, and was mildly disappointed with a couple of scenes that take the seriousness out of the story.
