Review of 13 (2010) by Mike H — 23 Dec 2011
A remake of the Georgian-language film "13 Tzameti." An electrician assumes the identity of a dead man after overhearing the man talk about a money making opportunity he was about to embark upon.
Little did the electrician know he would have to survive multiple rounds of an underground game of russian roulette hosted by high rollers who wager on which players will survive. It cast Mickey Rourke so I was ready for 90 minutes of badass.
..it was not to be. An enteresting plot. A good cast. A disappointing movie. I've seen a number of user reviews which suggest this movie was an improvement on "13 Tzameti," but the critics suggest quite the opposite and I suspect the latter are correct even though I haven't see the Georgian film.
