Review of 12th & Delaware (2010) by Jason M — 21 Mar 2011
I loved Ewing and Grady's Jesus Camp and I'm really glad there are directors willing to present the "ugly" side of religion. This documentary isn't as stylish or gripping as their previous one, but it still makes one mad as hell.
I never really could define if I'm pro-life or pro-choice, but I think I'm both if that's possible. But whatever I am, it never interferes with other people's lives and choices. Like the Christians do. It drives me nuts seeing people with banners shouting slogans and sitting outside abortion clinics all day trying to "save" babies. Without caring what sort of life that baby is going to have after "saving" it. Religion disgusts me when it comes to certain things, and the "religious" people portrayed in this movie made me sick to my stomach.
But I really don't want to become mean. Though it's too late for that. The documentary is quite nice, but not masterpiece material. Very amateurish and a little sloppy. But still worth giving a shot to.
