James Franco did a very good job. The film itself could have been mroe dark, but I guess they tried the other approach, which worked fine, but seemed a bit off in some scenes. I didn't like the split screen images, didn't fit the story.
Besides that, a nice different visual style than the normal. But it could have been more dark...
