Review of 127 Hours (2010) by Patryk C — 25 Jul 2012
A very graphic depiction of one man's dramatic battle for survival. Based on true events (although intentionally intensified for the sake of tragically realistic entertainment), this is a tour de force for James Franco.
He shows his undeniable acting skills with a brave and believable performance as a man trapped in the heart of Utah's vast desert, with time running out and no one to turn to. Shot exclusively on location, this haunting drama is sometimes as painful to watch as it is stimulating and influential.
