The story of Aron Ralston is a tragic and inspiring story that touched everyone's hearts in 2003, however you have no idea what that story means until you see this movie. 127 Hours is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen.
I have no problem in saying that whatsoever. No one wanted to see this movie with me, because it is a long movie about a man who cut his arm off to live. However, it is SO much more than that, thanks to the amazing Danny Boyle.
Boyle's direction added many psychological layers to this movie that added not only a more suspenseful factor, but a realistic one. Be that as it may, this film would be nothing without the incredible James Franco.
Franxo's virtuoso performance will leave you with no emotions left. The movie is gory and will definitely make you cringe at multiple points, however the incredible performance brought by Franco will bring you to your knees.
I want to take a moment to mention the supporting characters as well. Though a large majority of them had no dialogue, it was evident that they brought their part to the film. This movie will seem like a llifetime, but you will follow every moment of it.
It will bring a catharsis and a sort of clarity to your life, as well as make you reexamine the thought of canyon exploring.
