Review of 127 Hours (2010) by Scott W — 20 Jul 2013
Third time viewing was the charm for me. Danny Boyle's consistently inventive direction and James Franco's moving and committed performance are the two shining lights in this superb film. So many wonderful, funny, horrifying, surreal moments.
I love how memory and hallucinations are shown (very "realistic" - the Scooby Doo bit, the Lovely Day bit - they chime with some of my own experiences). This is my favourite Danny Boyle film to date.
