Review of 127 Hours (2010) by Tommy H — 29 Mar 2015
I wasn't impressed. It was so much like a music video I had to check to see if Rob Zombie made it. What really killed it for me was Franco's character. He seemed like someone who would be the first to die in a teen slasher movie.
Also, too many of his flashbacks were about his ex-girlfriend and random attractive women. Not to say that's bad or anything, but I would have liked something a little more meaningful. It is based on a true story, though, and that's a good excuse for not getting too psychological and going into artsy territory.
