Review of 127 Hours (2010) by Aaron J — 25 May 2013

Its hard to write a review that does this movie justiice. 127 hours as we all should know is the story of a hiker named Aron Ralston who takes a day journey to hike at the Blue John Canyons in Utah only to get his arm trapped by a boulder.

After 127 Hours of no food or water he decides to sever his arm from the the boulder that decided the fate of his life. 127 Hours is definitely one of the best films of the year, its so beautiful in scope and direction.

Enrique Chediak and Anthony Dod Mantle have shot this film so beautifully that you feerl as if your there, or your on one of Aron's adventures. Danny Boyle once again proves he is a genius, he reaaly shows the will of the human spirit and he proves that he is one of the motion picture greats.

This film is one of the most gripping films that I have ever had the priveledge to view. James Franco is beyond perfection in his performance, he is the reason we love to see actors act. James brings such grace and gripping dynamic nuance to his performance, when Aron is trapped in the canyon or reflecting on his life James' performance allow us to feel how Aron must have felt.

Franco deserves every accolade for this stroke of genius performance. James Franco's performance is beyond Oscar Worthy. James Franco's performance is truly one of the best performances ever captured on film.

Danny Boyle and Simon Beaufoy have really wrote such a dynamic screenplay that really justfies Aron Ralston's 2003 book Between A Rock And A Hard Place, I know most people will say that there hardly any dialogue in the film, well it doesnt matter the way the film is set up, those little intricate details lets us see everything Aron went through, The Rescue scene at the end is truly gripping and unforgettable, the film will leave you speechless, There has been alot of controversy over the arm amputataion scene,the amputation scene isn't nearly as bad as people have made it out to be its shot with quick editing and and limited sound, if people can go and see those shitty saw movies then they can endure this.

This film is really a testament to the human will to live, that shows you that everything is worth living for. A Truly Beautiful Masterpiece ****.
