Review of 12:08 East of Bucharest (2006) by Bob G — 28 Feb 2008
How many light bulbs need to change before its a revolution? Bucharest was never so illuminated. There are several clever features to this film. How can a film about the Romanain Revolution as remebered by an alcoholic teacher, a TV show host and Father Christmas be fun? Indeed, the first half of the film is in darkly lit rooms and the second is in a small studio.
But it works and sets the question; was there a Revolution or did Ceausescu do a runner?
