Review of 12 Years a Slave (2013) by Timothy J — 13 Jun 2014
A very good movie and definitely worthy of Oscar Nomination. If you come from the generation of the Roots miniseries and the subsequent themed film and television shows there was nothing new. Slavery was horrible and in humane and this film offered the same.
Nothing left to shock modern audiences with. The most moving part was when Solomon was reunited with his family. A very good movie. But as for Oscars, Captain Philips was the better movie in my opinion.
