Review of 12 Years a Slave (2013) by Bavon W — 21 Jun 2014
Stunningly portrayed and beautifuly shot, 12 Years a slave is both sweeping and intelligent enough to move a viewer through the injustices of slavery and literally paint the elephant in the room white.
A surprise knockout that easily can take a place among some of the most important cinema in Urban history alongside the likes of Roots.
