Review of 12 Years a Slave (2013) by Raji K — 03 Oct 2014
It was not as brutal as I was lead to believe. Probably heard too much hype. I never really cringed the closest I got was when he was being whipped and blood was splattering. The hardest to watch scenes for me was when he woke up hungover in chains and then when he was reunited with the family that is no longer his.
The last scene was heart wrenching. Overall it's a great movie that I won't watch again.
