Review of 12 Years a Slave (2013) by Randy P — 06 Dec 2014
No doubt deserved best picture at the academy awards.
Steve Mcqueen has proven to be one of my modern favorite directors.
This film makes Django Unchained look very offensive, when this film stays true to itself, and stands its ground as a strong historical event that took over two centuries almost three centuries.
It's tragic, extremely hard to watch, but at the same time, it's expertly crafted film that deserves it's attention it is getting.
Too bad it's brutal for classes to watch, because this is as accurate as the mini series Roots is.
