Watched this movie at the cinema, I have a copy of the book and as yet still need to read it, but this movie was very awkward to watch, the true reality of the evil of slave ownership is highlighted here, nothing is held back.
Solomon was one of the very few lucky enough to have a happy ending, its very sad to watch but at the same time modern people need to educate themselves on this evil part of our history as with the holocaust too.
the acting and realism is unbelievable, a must watch.
