Review of 12 Years a Slave (2013) by Nathan A — 18 Feb 2015
This film was so good the list of positives are just too long, here are a few: the acting was superb, the realism was good, great directing, nice flow, great story and the film was so emotional. Expanding on some of those points; in certain scenes the torture was quite graphic but this is really good as it was realistic, this didn't hold back when it showed what slavery was like in that time.
The film had a good flow and I wasn't bored or felt the film was slow at any moments, the 2hrs something flew by; this was mostly due to the great story and great acting. Lastly, this film is one of the only films that I have seen that has had me so emotionally attached to the characters so much; it was so bad I nearly cried at the end and I've never cried when watching a film.
