Best Picture it sure did deserve this year for it's own take on slavery that covers the subject matter like no other movie before it. A true tale about a freeborn man kidnapped and sold to the brutal atrocities of slavery, told in a near-documentary style, results in a moving tale that's gut-wrenching as Schindler's List.
Watch it once, you won't watch again, but you'd certainly not forget it.
