The only problem I have with this film is that it has a very dark and harsh theme and a very gruesome story... However, the story's execution is very well done and the way it teaches us about how slavery existed in America makes it very historical and somewhat educational.
.. I can see how it's the winner of the 2013 Oscar for best picture, and it truly deserves the award!!
