A solid movie that kept my attention. It was more like a horror flick though than anything else. There were no important themes or insights. Great story though and well acted so it was good action and drama.
Imagine Taken without Liam Nieson coming to save you. I had to take away a full star for Brad Pitt (thought about taking away 2 stars). Brad Pitt has had some fine movies but this is by far his worst ever.
He only spends 5 minutes in the movie but he plays a key part. Stupid look, bad accent, bad lines, and most of all...terribly over the top acting. It felt like he was hosting SNL and doing a joke version of this movie.
It really is that bad. He produced it though -- I guess the other producers and directors couldn't say no to him.
