12 Years a Slave is a movie which I forgot was a movie due to its incredible acting, its effective use of continuous shots, and directing that does not look back at slavery and treats it the way it should, putting emphasis on what is important.
This movie is hard to watch is another sense for its realism, but you will not forget the true story of Solomon Northup after watching this.
