Review of 12 Rounds (2009) by Jason J — 29 May 2010
So we're about 45 mins in and in the middle of another way-too-long action sequence. It's also clear that this is going to be a movie with lots of those moments.
This is a basically a tv movie that doesn't know it is.
The acting is HORRRREEEENNNNDDOOUUUSSS ...esspecially when the characters are trying to show some sort of human emotion.
I wont really go into the actual casting as everybody got to get some work but man talk about budget cuts; almost every actor is a poor man's alternative (pma) to the real thing.
So the main guy is pma to Mark Wahlberg, his girl is a pma jack bauer's daughter ...and it goes on.
So if you're going to watch this movie, make sure you have a drink and/or something else to do as well and dont take it serious ...at all.
Somebody said the acting was wooden, think forest.
The two stars I gave it are mainly for the effort - you can see what they were trying to do (if they had good actors).
The extra half is just for a scenes with poor willie.
