Review of 12 Rounds (2009) by Stu D — 11 Dec 2010
(C) An actor is only as good as the material he is given. Like him or not in a professional wrestling ring, John Cena shows he has potential in this campy flick about a police officer (Cena) who's wife has been kidnapped by a crazed psycho looking for revenge.
Sound familiar? Maybe thats because this film is basically the same exact plot as Cena's first film, The Marine. While 12 Rounds is better than The Marine, its still campy and still poorly written and predictable.
Regardless, Cena is good here with what he's given to work with, and its not a horrible movie. Cena could use some help here, since his supporting cast is painful.
