Review of 12 Rounds (2009) by Dana A — 05 Apr 2010
This sure was a hell of a lot better then John Cena's frist painful attempt at acting in The Marine. I'm not gonna lie I actually enjoyed it untiil I realized its THE EXACT REPLICA of Die Hard with Vengence, right down to the black/white leads, accents, metro system, revenge killing and rules.
Are you kidding me? I know WWE should be banned from making films but to blantly copy a classic and then have the nerve to pass it on as your own is more then wrong, I'm sure illegal. Aside from the obvious plot holes, predictability, characters who assume to be of great importance are randomly dropped, being set in New Orleans no one had an accent and just being an overall brain cell killing film.
I'd recommend this film to all rednecks who spend their evenings watching wrestling, drinking Budweiser and living in their mothers basement. An extra half star because I liked the dog and the actress from this film isn't as fugly as the actress from The Marine.
It loses a star as well for killing the ONE of only two black actors.
