Review of 12 Rounds (2000) by Alan O — 12 Jan 2010
I have not seen a big dumb action movie like this in a while, a film in a similar vain to the Die Hard and Speed films. Although not a s good as those movies mentioned, it still holds it's own for providing plenty of action.
Yes the plot is incomprehensable and laughable, Michael Cena should have been replaced with a better actor, but Aidan Gillen is clearly having fun in his part and the whole thing has its tongue firmly in it's cheek.
Good to see director Renny Harlin back with something tangible if not spectacular. Worth a watch, don't expect too much and you'll be surprised.
