This film is about the jury for a trial of a Puerto Rican boy who murdered his Father. At first the majority of the jurors accuse the boy of being guilty until one sympathetic juror convinces the rest of them that the boy is not guilty.

He thoroughly reviewed the evidence from the case until he was able to change all their minds, even the racially biased jurors. The Puerto Rican boy is an ethnic minority so already there is unfortunately a bias against him.

The Jury is entirely comprised of old Caucasian men. Throughout the trial the men mention baseball a pastime that distracts them from their work. These men are all defined by their own individual professions.

Henry Fonda plays a liberal pacifist who is very sympathetic of the defendant. This film takes place in New York, so many of the jurors are probably businessmen. This film teaches us a lot about the court system, trials, justice, and defending the accused.

We really see how Henry Fondaï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s character had to argue for the defense of this Puerto Rican boy. This film really examines what is just, what is unjust, what is moral, what is immoral, what it means to be guilty, and what it means to be innocent.

A wonderful portrayal of the court system. Fantastic movie. Fondaï¿ 1/2 1/2(TM)s best. 10/10.
