Review of 12 Angry Men (1957) by Tom B — 13 Jan 2012
The script is so detailed and ingeniously structured. The cast is perfect - to have 12 different characters so unique and distinct is quite a feat. I read that Lumet did two weeks of rehearsal; it shows.
Everyone is natural and comfortable in their roles. One thing that kind of bugged me was a technical flaw - one of the tracking shots was quite bumpy. I don't think that should be taken away from the movie itself though.
This one is a classic.
