Review of 12 Angry Men (1957) by Ross P — 03 Jan 2013
A towering achievement in storytelling, character expression and behaviour and tension. 12 Angry Men explores the prejudices of society and the power of logic and reason. Although this is Lumet's first picture, he manoeuvres everything brilliantly with rapid lines of dialogue and a lot happening in a confined space.
It looks and feels like it was made by a director on his fifteenth film, not a debutant.
