Review of 11:14 (2004) by Abimael V — 28 Jan 2010
This was the poor man's Amores Perros - which in itself is the better movie of this genre than Crash (overrated IMO). Some really dumb people keep committing acts that come back to roost on each them.
You end up screaming stop it, call the police or an ambulance or something but they don't. And that's what keeps the movie going. There is a rule in science, and since I'm not a scientist I can't remember for what, that says, for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction.
Well that holds true in this movie. These are clever yet dumb characters who can't help but keep getting in each others way. And everything they did impacted the other. And in the end, each had his or her own price to pay.
But the trip to get you there is highly involving. This was even better than I thought it would be originally and had an all-star cast to boot..........
