Review of 10 Years (2012) by Jon C — 21 Dec 2012
You have a huge cast of talented actors and likeable characters minus 1 in particular.
It's the usual fare of friends from high school coming back together after a whole decade.
New disciveries are made, old secrets come out, and you see the bad stuff everyone carries around with themselves.
It can get a bit boring after a while if you are not into the characters interacting and discussing the stuff that makes them who they are and who they were.
For me the best parts involved Tatum and Dawson's history and Issac and Mara's newly formed bond, those were the more appealing and heartwarming moments out of everything else.
Long and Minghella needed more work and their characters needed to grow up and do something.
Anyways, you can sort of see your own high school reunion like this one even if it is a bit implausible.
There aren't really a lot of laughs written into the script but it is still a warm, touching character study.
