Review of 10 Years (2012) by Jillian L — 09 Jul 2013
With such an impressive ensemble cast, I was really looking forward to this one. And the cast itself delivered. Chris Pratt is hilarious, Justin Long delivers his best man-child character yet, Channing Tatum and Rosario Dawson had good chemistry, Oscar Isaac and Kate Mara are adorable, and even though they weren't top billed, Aubrey Plaza and Lynn Collins are scene stealers.
But, despite this cast, I was bored. It feels like we're the spouses at their reunion, listening to stories and memories that we don't fully understand. Instead of really getting to know these characters, we just observe them at this reunion.
Then, it finally gets somewhere...with about 20 minutes left in the movie. So while I enjoyed the endings to the individual storylines as well as the cast, it just took too long to anything really compelling.
