To be honest,at first, the only reason I agreed to watch this movie when my dad brought it home from the movie rentals is becuase of Morgan Freeman. I mean, you must be pretty good if you can play an inmate for life back to back with the President of the United States, right? So I consented, not realizing that it would be one of my favorite movies to date.

Some of the underlying jokes of the food service industry are hilarious, some things that only the people who work in that profession would understand. That probably sums up most of why I enjoyed the film so much, aside from the fact that the chemistry with Freeman and Paz Vega is lovely.

At times I had trouble with the tempo Silberling decided to take, when I found myself thinking, "hurry up, Scarlett, you're gonna be late!", but that's when I realized that the speed is partly what makes this movie so pure.

Two strangers, at the heart of everything, in almost real time. On my ten items or less that I would keep, one of them would definitely be this film.
