Review of 10 Items or Less (2006) by Katie F — 21 Sep 2007
I don't know what to do with this movie. It's the type a don't like, however, as the movie goes on you notice that this is done on a shoestring budget and you start to wonder about the actors.
Then by the end you understand the whole idea behind it. And even if you didn't like the film itself, the idea is indeed good, it's an experiment in cinema that really deserves attention. What I think really made me interested, ,s the fact that I had watched another film that is very similar in form.
It was called "Oyun" (The PLay) and was done by an indie Turkish female director, and had a similar experiment in a small town down south of turkey. I would've reviewed it on flixster if they had it recorded but due to its indie nature, it doesn't show up.
Anyway, the film is no big deal, but the idea is nice and is well-executed.
