Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) by Arthur R — 05 Jul 2016
The first half of this film is brilliantly acted and tense, with enough intrigue to make for a wonderful film. The second devolves into a boring sci-fi-by-numbers schtick that is anything but fresh... its worth watching for Goodman alone... but it could have been so much better. Im giving it a pass, but barely.
Resonant Line: "Howard: I know that this isn't the life that you prefer, and that it's been hard for you to come down here... but I really want us to be a happy family, you and me. The mess is all taken care of... so, I'll go get dinner started.".
