Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) by Moraima D — 12 Aug 2016
This first 2.5 acts of this movie are really good. The characters are interesting, the performances are good, the setting feels claustrophobic and makes for a tense atmosphere. And then the last 10-15 minutes happen and the entire movie does a total 180.
A 180 on tone, genre, and quality. It's like someone else wrote that last bit (and maybe that's possible, considering the fact that the film has three screen writers). I really liked so much of this movie, but I just can't believe how much of a let down the end was.
It's a little mind boggling, an very disappointing.
