10 Cloverfield Lane is undoubtably better than the original Cloverfield. All three of the main performances were very investing and believable. John Goodman in particular, he stole the show. The way the director throws twists and turns and suggests things (sometimes falsely) about John Goodman's character works perfectly.
Unfortunately the last act was very disappointing and didn't live up to the first two acts.
