Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) by Anonj — 11 Mar 2016
No matter how "thrilling" or whatsoever it is, the plot simply just makes no sense from start to finish and leaves way too many unfilled holes here and there. Surely many thrillers aren't known for complex and well thought-of plots as much as the detailed depictions.
But really, even seeing it in that light it's still just much more nonsensical than most other thrillers. At least it's certainly not worth such high scores seen around here. How could a film be good if the very premise it stands on just couldn't hold at all, and much of what the characters have been doing is just inexplicable? Such plot flaws are just too glaring to be ignored and really ruin everything else in it.
Also I really don't see much of a connection between this one and the original Cloverfield at all, the ending just literally came out of nowhere and is totally unrelated to the main story.
