Review of 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) by Movieguys — 29 May 2016
10 Cloverfield Lane is barely a sequel to the original Cloverfield story-- and that's what makes it so great. It finds an original story to tell, taking place (with the exception of a couple scenes) in an underground bunker.
The acting, screenplay, and effects are all above average, and the movie finds exciting ways to tell the story, including an ambiguous ending, opening up the door for more sequels. It will probably go down as one of the best sci-fi movies of 2016.
