10 Cloverfield Lane, a thrilling, tense and claustrophobic piece. Phenomenal performances by John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Goodman, being an amazing character actor, and Mary playing character who's smart, driven and constantly on edge.
Brilliant cinematography, with the minimal location and set. The concept of a story on the side of the events of the original 'Cloverfield' makes for a nice idea around 'the sequel'. Don't really know if it needed to be built around Cloverfield however, as I feel it stands on it's own.
