Review of 10 (1979) by Lauren K — 13 Jan 2009
A classic 70's-style comedy. To really enjoy it you should view it through the lens of what was happening in the U.S. westcoast during the late '70s. You get a healthy dose of Dudley Moore's genius. And it is the vehicle Julie Andrews used to break away from her squeaky-clean, Mary Poppins image.
You might also say that the pace of the whole film is based on Ravel's Bolero (the song playing during the most famous scene). It starts slowly and builds momentum as it goes.
