Review of XOXO (2016) by Brian H — 28 Aug 2016
A pastiche of stories, none of which are interesting in and of themselves but somehow together achieve an end greater than they could alone. Borrowing heavily from their 90's predecessors (Empire Records, et.
al.), XOXO is nothing special but it does end up delivering on what it promises with a nice dose of EDM spectacle; which, let's be honest: that's the whole point of EDM. In fine, XOXO works only for those that haven't seem the originals.
