Review of Woodstock (1970) by Mec R — 18 Mar 2008
The concert was so damn big that this film finally gave someone a legitimate reason to use the split screen. The Who. Janis Joplin. The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Santana. And they don't even give my favorite performance.
That title goes to Sly and the Family Stone, who play a set so funky and energetic that they're probably the only group I can think of that truly merited 3 encores. Anyway, if you're a music fan chances are you've already seen it.
If you aren't, then this will turn you on.
