If it's anti-Christian, it's also anti-humanity -- because what it does is point out that doing the right thing doesn't always pay off. Indeed, if you trust people, as Virdiana does, they might just turn on you.
This is a film that doesn't let anyone off the hook, regardless of what you believe.
