I grow more and more impressed with Mike Leigh every time I watch or rewatch one of his movies. This is a wonderful panorama about creativity, collaborative performance, the nuts-and-bolts of theater, life, love, the whole ball of wax.
Just when you think you've got it nailed down, Leigh introduces another twist, another element. Extraordinarily rich, worthy of many repeated viewings.
