Review of Threads (1985) by Ian T — 25 Sep 2007
This is the best post-apocalyptic film of all time. Set in the 1980's, England is involved in a nuclear war between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. It displays the long run effects of the war: society reverts to agricultural feudalism, law and order has collapsed, the British Isles are all irradiated wastelands.
Later on , the post-war generation is mentally deprived. with lack of teaching tools, all children only learn english through a bbc video. They can barely understand each other. Man's interdependence on other men, has resulted in his downfall.
