Review of The Vast of Night (2019) by Acturner — 05 Jun 2020
The Vast of Night is one in a long line of low-budget sci-fi movies that relies on the viewers imagination for all the sci-fi aspects. There are no special effects. The script is straight out of a 1930's radio play.
It believes itself to be some form of Orson Welle's War of the Worlds, but really its just a very boring episode of Art Bell. Several people found this movie enjoyable and I don't doubt their sincerity, but I was just bored silly.
The film completely failed to capture my imagination, much less my attention.
