Review of The Two of Us (1967) by Chris W — 11 Jun 2007
An incredible achievement that asks us to view a man who is a genuinely kind person but cannot seem to escape his racial prejudices against the Jews during WWII. Alain Cohen gives what might be one of my favorite child performances ever as the young Jewish boy who lives with his racist "grandpa" and must conceal his ethnic identity.
Michel Simon always manages to keep me laughing.
