Not exactly a remake or a sequel, the 2014 iteration of The Town that Dreaded Sundown takes place in the same eponymous town 65 years after the original murders, but this is also a version of Texarkana that has lived through the release of the original film.

Now, the murders have begun again, and the film develops into a clever, brutal, and thoroughly enjoyable slasher that stays true to the original's spirit.
