Review of The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears (2014) by Hayden B — 21 Sep 2014
Freud could psychoanalyze this movie in his sleep. In 1894. There's nothing at its core but primal scene and castration anxiety. The art nouveau apartment building setting (a real one) steals the movie, so for architecture fans only.
The actors are wasted, but they can't compete with all that cast iron and stained glass. And leather. An American Horror Story wannabe. Only without Jessica Lange.
